    DJ Finance Direct

    Hey Evryone

thinking bout gettin a couple of CDJ's on this site

    http://www.djfinancedirect.co.uk/

seems pretty much the best way 2 get a pair without the pain of saving up lol

anyone else used this site before, is it ok? or am i better off getting them from htfr and wacking it on the old capital one card?

i'd also reconsider ordering anything from htfr, as they're an awful bunch of cowboys...

Guildford sound and light are awesome I've gotten finance from them before and bought all my current kit from their physical shop. Nice bunch of people as well.

if their about to announce a new cdj then wait for that and buy a OLD version for much less cash in the small ads, People WITH money will be upgrading and i am sure it wont spoil your bedroom mix's to be using last years spec

DJ Finance direct is probly one of the best sites going, know a few people who have got cdjs from them. As for htfr, there greedy cunts, no leeway with them.

I got my setup from dj finance direct. And apart from waiting 2 weeks for my CDJs to turn up as they were out of stock, I have had no problem with them. Interest free finance with cheaper overall prices than HTFR. I would recommend them mate. HTFR are shite.

As mentioned before tho - dont buy any CD decks for the next 10 days or you'll regret it.

the clever people buy last years spec for peanuts mate, what fucking difference does it mean buying something thats "new" and costs £1000's when you can get something that does the same thing for a monkey or less.

it will have something AMAZING like a USB input of something, can you tell me whats so amazing about the new decks

There's absolutely no point in having a cutting edge set up at home.

A pair of CDJ400s or DNS5000s with a good 2/3 channel mixer are all you need. A decent midi controller and/or FX unit is worth thinking about too if you want to start really mucking about with samples and effects.

I can already hear people crying "it's the industry standard" - load of bollocks. It's your bedroom, not the DJ stand for digital. Anyone who starts playing out to a crowd can guarantee that before they get themselves a decent venue, they'll have to play in a place that features a set of twin numark cd players and a shit behringer mixer.

A good DJ can use any gear put in front of him, so there's no harm in getting something other than a pair of CDJ1000s, especially with the new model coming out.

Get yourself to somewhere like Aitken or Soundware, try out some of the kit, and buy what you're comfortable with. CDJ400s, DNS1200s, and a decent mixer should see you sorted.

if the equipment is not in a venue then don't most nights take their own 'industry standard' setup?

not always, especially when you're young, naive, and trying to get off the ground with whatever you're playing.

The cosmic is probably a good example of a venue that doesn't have a decent mixer, I wonder how many nights actually take their own along...

Some of the best gear I've got was second hand bargains.

I started off with a pair of numark CDN23s and a CM200 mixer, which only cost £300 all in. I sold both for about £200 a few years later, so thats not that bad a deal.

I suppose it all depends on how much money you want to spend. I bought my beginners set up when I was a student and I didn't have much money. Now I'm happier shelling out more money for kit.

Last time I was in it had a behringer, not a xone.

It might have been off for repairs
