Omissimo is meant to be good but I've never heard him play so can't comment. Good luck with it mate, I just hope that it's not like other DJ comps where the organisers mates win!!!
I know Adam and Mark (Trophy Twins) and I think they're a part of the judging panel but hopefully it'll all be down to talent rather than who somebody knows. I'll let you know how I get on, on thursday
There was some really tough competition in Leeds on Wednesday night but it was definately worth going down! I'm through into the 'Kiss Da Funk' Semi Finals which will be held on the 21st or 28th July. Its basically down to the last 4 now. The winner gets a set and an interview on Galaxy FM's 'Nubreed' show as well as a set at Kiss Da Funk and Sessions in leeds. One of the judges was the promoter of 'Parlous Vous' in Bradford and he was that impressed with my performance he wants to book me to play there!
Cheers! Cheers Jimmy and Miller, I definately didn't walk it like, it was hard hard work! I managed to squeeze 5 tracks and 3 acapellas in the space of 20 mins!! One lad was even scratching in true Eddie Styley! He was shit hot as well! Fingers crossed I'll get to the final but its got me some good contacts/publicity in Leeds as well, so it was worth the 100 mile trip just for that!
