DISTORTED IS BACK AND BACK WITH A BANG. FRIDAY 11TH JUNE SEE'S DISTORTED RETURN. AND THIS TIME WE HAVE JOINED FORCES WITH SCOTLANDS BIGGEST BRAND TWISTED AND BRAINFIRE TO BRING YOU A LINE UP THAT WILL HAVE NEWCASTLE ROCKING ALL NIGHT LONG. WE ALSO HAVE A NEW HOME FOR DISTORTED THE COSMIC BALLROOMS. AND A SECOND ROOM THAT WILL BE HOSTED BY DROP THE BASS.

WE HAVE ALWAYS SAID DISTORTED IS HARDER FASTER LOUDER THEN THE REST AND THIS LINE UP IS SURE TO PROVE THAT TO EVERYONE.

FOR THE NIGHT THE MAIN ROOM WILL BE DISTORTED V's DARKSIDE. WE WILL HAVE A SOUND SYSTEM THAT WILL MAKE YOUR EAR'S BLEED AND WILL HAVE YOU BOUNCEING ALL NIGHT LONG. ALONG WITH THE IN CLUB LIGHT SYSTEM WE WILL BE ADDING LAZERS AND VISUAL'S TO MAKE THE NIGHT EVEN MORE FUN FOR THE RAVERS.

THIS MAN HAS PLAYED ALL THE BIG EVENTS ACROSS EUROPE AND IS NOW COMEING TO DISTORTED. Using keyboards and cassette recorders Conrad Hoyer started recording his first songs and mixes in 1993, 11 years old at the time. By 1995 hardcore music had become very influential for the Dutch youth and he started using computer software to write hardcore songs. With the artists of the Ruffneck label as main lead he worked on perfecting his technique, specializing in fast, breakbeat-oriented juno-sound hardcore. In 1998 DJ Ruffneck was convinced of Conrad's talent after receiving a 4 track cd-demo, and asked him if he would like to join his labels Gangsta and Supreme Intelligence. And thus at 16 years old Conrad became the youngest artist to join the crew. The period '98-'00 can be seen as a learning period in which Conrad released a few records as Trypticon and a few more tracks as Ophidian, but was still struggling to be consistent and to find an own place within the hardcore scene.

Things changed in 2001. In this year Conrad joined Enzyme Records, started building his own studio and started his studying Music Technology at the Utrecht School of Arts. He decided to drop the Trypticon-project and concentrate on producing as Ophidian, focussing on slower hardcore, with more techno and electronic music influences. Enzyme started a sub-label called Enzyme X on which more experimental hardcore could be released, which came as a blessing because it provided exactly the space that Conrad needed to define himself and his style. From this moment on progression was fast, and he released quite a number of tracks including his first solo-album, Ophidian - Blackbox, in 2003.

In 2004 Conrad finished his study, earning the degree of Bachelor of Music Composition and Production and started his work in the music business, as a producer mixing and mastering, as DJ and live performer, and producing audio for the game industry, but still mainly as artist exploring the more experimental areas of hardcore, techno and electronic music.

In the summer of 2005, Ophidian started his own label called Meta4, in collaboration with DJ Ruffneck and Cardiac Music BV. From 2008 onward he runs it independently.

DJ NOISEKICK (NOISEKICK RECORDS) http://www.noisekick.nl/
Noisekick or Rudmer Reitsma is a Dutch speedcore(an extreme form of terrorcore) DJ. He is a speedcore producer since ‘95 for the labels Cerebral Destruction,Analphabetik, Masters of Hardcore, Noisekick Records, Pendeho Records and Terrornoize Industry. He produced tracks like ‘koffie met een smaakje’ (coffee with a (strange) flavour), ‘army of speedcore’ en ‘stoeptegel terror’ (pavement flag terror).

NEXT UP WE HAVE A RETURN GUEST. HE ONLY PLAYED FOR US LAST YEAR BUT HE TORE THE ROOF OFF AND THE CROWD LOVED IT. HE ALSO ENJOYED PLAYING FOR US THAT MUCH HE WANTED TO COME BACK.

I'm a record producer and DJ with my own label Evolution Records. If you don't know about me, I DJ worldwide, mainly playing UK Hardcore, Dutch Hardcore and Old School Scottish Techno. I still write and record all my own records at my studio 'The Blueroom' and now live in England, although I am from Glasgow, Scotland.

Ahh someone please get me a picture of the managers face in Cosmic (the ginger haired bloke, think he's called mark) when this musical style is boshed over their KV2 system (or after you've added more wattage to the upstairs room). He didn't take kindly to Mark EG playing in there once upon a time for Detox and decided in his wisdom to turn off the large rig downstairs to protect it!!?? (even after I checked to make sure Mark EG wasn't redlining the tits off the mixer). He even got shirty with Adam from Lab4 upstairs and started turning the amps down.... but then back up again after Mr. Lab4 professed his previous years were spent as a sound engineer (with several swear words carefully inserted in the middle of the various exchanges)

Told him we brought in our system so his will not have to have his pushed so much seemed happy enough.
