Never seen a Breakbeat Mix posted on this board before so i thought i'd put one together and let you all have a listen to the sort of music i'm onto at the moment. It was mixed under the influence of a few stellas n spliffs but luckily turned out ok. If you like your breaks tough and your basslines big then you should like this. Got mine today, good mix indeed m8. Recording is a little poor quality but kick arse breaks right through.

Aye, I agree its a quality cd all apart from the recording quality... whats the crack with that? Sounds like its come off a tape.

I listen to this as soon as I woke up yesterday and loved every bit... gonna have to be getting myself some of those tunes!

Any suggestions on how i can improve the quality would be grately recieved as i'm a relative new comer when it comes to recording mixes onto cd. I currently record them using a lead from my mixer into the back of my PC, i then record it in AcidPro and then open it up in SoundForge.... i got told that i then needed to normalize it which i do. Bu the quality is still poor.... any help would be appreciated lads.

I burn direct from my mixer output onto CD, I can adjust the recording volumes and filter surface noise out. sounds like its from a shop

Do you burn it using a cd burner rather than just a PC?..... reckon i need some new needles as well like.

Reckon i'll give that i try if i can find a cd recorder.

The last few mixes I've done have been recorded to mini-disc then onto the pc then normalized then burnt on cd.

Not sure exactly what the problem is though because it could be so many different things.

Are you sure the cable your using is a stereo one?

Thanks for the CD, I really enjoyed it, each tune was fantastic, obviously if you follow their recording advice then it it would sound better but i know fuck about that stuff so im afraid i wont add anythin to that!
