    that website is never going to take off because you cannot view any content without signing up

    allow the user to view content regardless of if they are a member or not and you will get a lot more return custom. If a website forces me to sign up to view any of its content then i wont visist it again. :)

    if you are desperate for people to sign up then make them sign up to download a mix
