difference between Pioneer cdj1000 and 800

whats the difference between these? Do they both have the same scratching features or is the extra money paying for a few more things and the SD card slot or something?

If you practiced on 800's then tried 1000's would you be confused?

    Thank you pleash. ;)

there are a few few little differences. The memory card being one, and i cant remember the others! (nothing that important). I think u can scratch on them both.

And if u have used an 800 (or any CD deck in the range) u will have no problems on any other CD deck..They are all easy to use...

The main jog wheel and scratch feature is the same as the CDJ-1000 but the memory card and wave display are not present.

    CDJ800 KEY FEATURES:
    · QUICK RETURN
Enables a track to return instantly again and again to a cue point just by pressing the surface of the Jog Wheel.

    · AUTO BEAT LOOP
Uses 4 timing buttons to instantly create perfect 1, 2, 4, or 8 beat loops. When a loop has been produced manually with the loop in and loop out buttons, this feature allows instant 1/1, 1/2, 1/4/, 1/8 beat cuts of the initial loop.

    · "WIDE" PITCH CONTROL
DJ's can use the /- 100% pitch control range to create new sound effects from opposite ends of the sound spectrum and also to BPM match completely different tracks.

The only differences are the memory card, and something to do with the display I think.

I have the 800, and I've used the 1000, there's virtually no difference. And yes, you can scratch on the 800.

I think the 1000s have a wave display similar to final scratch so you can see when breakdowns are coming up etc.
Nice if money is no object
