Dial up connects randomly

    Dial up connects randomly

    Any ideas why, and how to stop it? All the usual settings are set to connect manually, not automatically, yet it still inisits on dialing up whenever it feels like it ?!?!

    Internet Explorer -> Tools -> Internet Options-> Connections Tab -> Select Your Dial up connection and check the "Never Dial a Connection" radio button.

    check your phone bill you may have a rouge 0891 dialer if so you will be looking at a couple hundred quid

    shit i think i was connected for about 2 hours on one of those fuckers, they show up as your normal dialup number so u cant tell TWATS
