Diabetic I've just found out I am diabetic. Totally gutted cos I've got to stop drinking and eating the things I love like chololate aparently Just shoot me now please. !!!! Is anyone on here diabetic ??? Is this true.????
Re: Diabetic It is true - Because you are diabetic, your body is unable to produce insulin and therefore you are unable to regulate your blood sugar levels without insulin injections. There's more info on it here. There's two different types of diabetes - I can't remember which is which but both are explained in the link. Hope this helps
I dont think you have to give up beer and chocolate altogether but you do have to be quite careful with you diet etc

Thanks.xxxx Doc said I don't have to have insulin injections. But I have to follow a special diet. People have just been saying you can't drink or eat sweet things. I've got to see a nutritionist tomorrow to get my info on it.
wait till u get your specific diet - it'll be tailored to you. you'll still be able to have some things - it'll just be a balancing act

uve jus gotta keep ur blood sugar sound,,as long as u do then there aint nowt stoppin u from living ur life as u did. m8 at work is bad with his,,but he still goes on the lash just every now an then he has a blood test an has some insulin or a red bull accordingly,,,,these days its alot easier to live with u got type 1 or 2 btw????
Whats his name, I've probably come across him on a bank holiday monday on my hospital ward It takes a while for blood sugar levels to change. Its not as easy as downing a drink then doing a finger prick test. Silly comments like this can be dangerous.
