The baby brother of the DN-S5000 and DN-S3000 is out soon - check out the video above.

Would be totally mint for anyone looking to get into the CD side of things - shares loads of the same features as its big brothers too.

Priced well below the 3000 aswell i think.

thats class is that... looks real neat and not too 'scarey' i.e. not so many buttons and knobs that u get lost and never use the features...

although - the blokes thumb playing it bends at an incredible angle. freak.

He was doing some really nifty shit on it aswell with that bendy thumb of his - using the brake and echo, and then using the hotstart key to get the tune back.

Think its gonna cost about 300 quid over here - quite good considering i paid 650-700 for my DN-S5000 and it shares loads of features, might be pretty good to go alongside a pair of vinyl decks perhaps. ;)

The 5K rips the arse off the CDJ's both feature wise and in ease of use. If you just want to mix straight out then its a lot easier to do on the denon than on any other cd deck (except maybe the numark)

The only thing thats annoying with it is that the advanced features are a bit cramped and take some time to get your head round. Apart from that its a bargin at £600

    :)

Yeah I bought one in the end and am loving it

The beat juggle function is the best thing when done well on a track like phat planet.

All the fx at the bottom, like the tail echo, are quality and are actually usefull compared to most fx.

The pitch ranges are awesome and its so much easier to mix on than the cdjs

And how good is it being able to play one track and scratch a sample off the same track at the same time?

When you plug it to an fx unit like the kaos pad the possibilties for new tricks and the like are endless and really put pioneer kit to shame.

Still Ive only had it a couple of weeks so give it a month and I should have had more ideas of what to do with it.

Btw how do you switch the 'play exchange' off cos I keep doing it by accident and tbf its pissing me off :dunce::rolleyes:

    :)
