Decks --> PC --> CD-R Just recently got a Delta Audiophile 2496 from M-Audio.co.uk. I've set everything up but cannot get any sound from it at all. I've connected the mixer to it via the Audio inputs (and yes, the decks are connected to the mixer) but although it is displaying a received signal in the M-Audio control panel as the decibel meters are rising - still nothing is happening?? Any suggestions to what I should try
Been reading it. Just doesn't seem to be working. I've got this Audiophile 2496 and a SoundMAX Digital Audio both installed. Could this be the problem??
just set your default audio interface as the m-audio cache, and insert a 310k intermeggerbit cache defacer on your comp youll then need to download the relevant .dll's to cope with the extra entermiable force enlisted by your cpu's core..... shouldnt really go over its terminal load of 38hz but this could be a part of the problem.. another problem could be zara's magnetic field, id get her to wear the cheaper version of Regatta's Magnaforce vest, it'll reduce emissions to a more healthy 3kW, allowing your decks to breath easier. hope that helps mate
Like everything else, if I let her near it, the thing will end up worse than it already is. She can check her e-mails - and that's it!!
If I don't sort the problem tonight. Pop to mine before we go on the hoy tomorrow night and see if you can find what the problem is mate.
If you have two soundcards installed you need to specify in the control panel which one you wish to record from. Firstly, you need to go into control panel and select "Sounds and Audio Devices". Then click on the "Audio" tab and select the card you wish to record to: Then you need to fire up Volume Control and change to the volume levels of the card you wish to record to: Then change to the card you want to use: Remember to click "Adjust Volume for Recording" in the above. Make sure your line input is selected.
Cheers There's bound to be something I missed 'cos I tried changing all the default devices last night but it still wouldn't play the sound. All it did was stop any sound when I played and .mp3 or .wmv file in the Windows media player?? Maybe I need to configure Ableton 5.1 to enable the sound to pull through?? Still at work now  So I'll give it a try when I get home.
If all else fails when I get back home tonight, This is the card I'm on about And this is a link to the website with full details of the product!
I think I have found the problem. Below I have attached an image of my desktop with the volume controls open and when I select the soundcard the decks are plugged in to there isn't a "Line-In" option that I can highlight under "Adjust Volume for recording" even though there are line inputs on the card  What could of caused this problem??
I have the same soundcard and if you are trying to record I've had the same problem trying to rip a sample from a dvd. Let me know if you sort it, I couldn't even find anything about it on google.
I don't think that the drivers have installed themselves properly 'cos the manual shows line in and how to record??
