    Decks/mixer

Im after some CDJ's (800mkII) & a DJM mixer (600 preferably) Pretty short on cash at present. Is it worth saving up/getting them on finance or getting some off E-bay...

    Opinions?

    Cheers

Be very carful when buying off Ebay as alot are American Imports and i have seen some of the carnage left by thease imports they might seem cheap but there is a massive risk you take ;)

Totally forgot that I posted about this :dunce:

At the minute, ive only got a couple of hundered but I get paid weekly so it wont take long to have the cash if I have a few quiet weekends.

The 800's & 600 look the best bet. Dont wanna commit over 24 months tho. Still in probation at work for another 5 months. Knowing my luck i'll be let go at the end. I'll probs give them a ring up & a few weeks and spread the cost over 12 months. But try & get it paid off a.s.ap

    Cheers lads

The reviews of it are canny.

It works about £350 cheaper with the 800's comapred to the 800's with the DJM

What dont you like about the DJM 600 Si?

    I

The faders are cack (they dont control the volume accurately)

Its made of plastic (doesnt feel very nice)

The EQ's dont do anything (they dont cut the frequencies)

The sound quality aint that good (probably wont notice this at home though)

its not a bad mixer but if you are going to spend that much money then there are loads that are much better.

I hate that mixer, used it at college for the past year and cant stand it, but to be fair I reckon the 600 is shit for the price you pay like. Next for me is the 800 or maybe an Allen & Heath... not sure yet but got plenty time to decide!

i love my pcv275 - it's reet sturdy, metal finish, smooth glide of the faders - however, i love djm600's too!

I agree with Si! Personally I like the DJM600 but I do agree it doesn't feel that solid.

I was a Vestax man myself for mixers. Had a 275 first which I thought was ace (and got it cheap from Allie) and then moved on to a PMC-37 pro which was the dogs danglies....and that now belongs to Conway

They go on for ever and have a real solid feel to them

I dont reckon theres any point in going for a DJM800 unless you are going to hook it up to a laptop and use it as a midi controller aswell as a normal mixer

If you want to spend big bucks then go for a Xone
