italian - marco polos (dean street) chinese - waterside palace (along from the copthorne hotel heading away from the quayside bars)
Anywhere but Rockafella's! Foods ok, but a proper rip off when you compare it to other restaurants in town that knock out quality food for much more reasonable price. Like trance_fan says, Marco Polo's is good.
I was in Popolos the other week and got a lovely steak at Paradiso upstairs Its really nice there, I like Blue Coyote too on same street.
It's really nice, probs my fave Italian in town. They don't fire your food out of the kitchen at lightning speed either which i like as its a good place for conversation the olives you get are immense too
mmmm yeah I'll second third and fourth that like. What about sabatini's on the quayside, a wee bit on the pricey side, but WILD STRAWBERRY AND MASCARPONE CHEESECAKE IS to die for!! errrrr, El Torero is completely lush for Tapas. Pata Negra jamon - OMG sexy black pigs fed on acorns cut up and whacked on a plate. Quesos - manchego cheese on here OMG. Fresh Baked breads, gambas al pil pil OMG IM FUCKING STARVING NOW lol
Bar Luga (Grey Street) Zizzi's (Grey Street) Cafe Neon (Bigg Market) Basha (Bigg Market) Blue Coyote Seconded! lovely food in there!
Blue Coyote as some others have said. I like Est est est too. The burger van outside Tiger Tiger takes some beating tho.
I find that 9 times out of 10, the food you get in a restaurant is never as good as you hoped it would be when you consider how much you've spent. An indian or a chinese takeaway is always better.
LOJA upstairs from tup tup has just started doing food (al carte menu) went to see a few friends in there today never actually had out to eat but did pinch a few king prawns in batter with a lovely dipping sauce, every thing looked beutifull and was well presented gona go on thursday for me dinner, there menu is up on there website
