I lost my debit card ages ago and I finally ordered myself another one. I thought I knew the pin code but it turns out I don't...I made two attempts and they were wrong along it is only 2 double numbers I just duno which order.

I know you only get 3 tries before it gets sucked into the machine...is this per day or just before you get the right pin?

I would wait for the right PIN to be sure

go in to the bank and get them to reset your pin.

You'll not get it now, nobody at the bank knows you PIN number, they're done on a computer that nobody gets to see lol. if you need a new one you'll have to ring up for them to send you a new PIN out.

Have a couple of guesses if you think you know it.

Nee point getting a new one sent out which takes 4-5 working days. Once you get a new one ordered you're old one wont work so if she thinks she knows what it is then it wont work anyway.

It wont take your card if you guess it wrong a couple of times, Come to think of it, I don't think it takes it if you guess it wrong 3 times. It just wont let you try again that same day.

aye if you get it wrong 3 times it spits ya card out and tells you to contact your bank

Go to a supermarket and get cash back, just ask to sign a receipt instead of putting your pin in.

They should'nt let you do that, if they do then this whole chip and pin plan they put in place is pointless.

I know. Think they weren't allowed as of 14th Feb, but there's still loads of places let you do it.

Aye, they let me sign in H&M when my chip could'nt be read by the machine, I did'nt even have my signature on the card.

yeah I done that aswell.Think it was in asda. The chip and pin machine wasnt working so she told me to sign instead. I told her my card wasnt signed so she said well sign your card first then the receipt lol.I could of been anybody

no it's 3 attempts full stop

if you use it in the cash point & block it it's blocked. if you use it in the shops & block it you can unblock it at the cash point
