    Deadmau5, The Essential Mix (19-07-2008)

This week's Essential Mix comes from the man behind the mouse, Deadmau5. Deadmau5 (pronounced "Dead mouse" and born Joel Zimmerman in Ontario, Canada) is a Progressive House artist and DJ from Toronto, Canada known for tracks such as "Arguru" and "Not Exactly"; tracks which have been included on compilation albums such as In Search of Sunrise 6: Ibiza and MixMag's "Tech-Trance-Electro-Madness", mixed by Deadmau5 himself, and on Armin van Buuren's A State of Trance radio show.

    Thoughtless.

I think the moooos is great & his productions are quality, but I hate it when DJ's get an opportunity to shine like this & cant see past their own work.

Yeah its a half decent prog remix of a trance tune that I hate

I'm no musician but I find Deadmau5 really tedious

well i thought it was good :(

it does say at the start 'this is what the mau5 sounds like'

that edit of 'the reward is cheese' is a bit grim, but apart from that i thought it was all cool.

and proudy you can't say nowt because you were praising Nu-energy set's ages ago that wernt live, but yet they played all there own stuff! but as they say, each to their own.

    the tunes he played throughout;

    Deadmau5 - Complications (Mau5trap)
    Deadmau5 - Bye Friend (Mau5trap)
Nathan Fake - The Sky Was Pink (Deadmau5 Edit) (Border Community)
Matt Rock - What You Feel (Deadmau5 Remix) (Hardplace)
    Deadmau5 - Faxing Berlin (Piano Version) (Mau5trap)
    Deadmau5 & Kaskade - I Remember (Mau5trap)
    Deadmau5 - Arguru (Songbird/Blackhole)
    Deadmau5 - Clockwork (Songbird/Blackhole)
    Deadmau5 – Jaded (Mau5trap)

they're all class tunes/mixes, and have all came out so quickly - props to that scrawny canadian bloke i say

and yeah hutch it's a remake of the orange theme, which is the shittest trance athem going - got played out first by armin @ Armin only a while back and i've been looking for the fucker for ages, seems like the label hasnt got a clue when it's being released either

for someone who mixes with ableton, 20 tracks in 2 hours is a real poor show if you ask me. not impressed at all.

he's fucked himself for record sales as well, he just basically gave his entire back catalog away for free to the world listening to radio 1.

hi friend is doing it for me at the minute, but out of the 2 hours, that was the highlight. a real shame, i was looking forward to hearing this mix
