Not a bad player but seriously is this the class of player Newcastle should be looking at to move forward ???, i think these are worrying times for you lot.

He is shite, he is the sort of hard working little grafter/100per center that Reidy & Mad Mick loved or love to sign for Sunderland.

Mick fooking hates it that Sunderland fans like Arca & Bridges but don't appreciate Carl Drabinson or Jeff Shitley

We could turn into a team like Sunderland!!!!!!!!!!!

I better get used to the diagonal ball into the box from the half line

Been a while since i have seen Sunderland play those tactics infact i have almost forgot what its like, should have my memory jogged when Kyle returns like and i have to say the times i have seen Newcastle this season with Shearer in the side they also play a very direct way of football

A while?!? Kylie hasnt been out that long man.

I dont think our midfielders or defenders have been lumping it forward from the half way line to the Lion at all.

He has been out for practically all this season and alot of the Newcastle lads i work with often complain about the direct balls lumped up to Poppins to deal with

Robbie Elliot & O'B may of lump it when we have been behind in the last 10mins but I can think of no game where we have lumped from the start.

The Newcastle fans you work with are probably the same GIMPS who ring in radio stations + text the Chronicle.

Here is something to cheer them up, we have 21 points after playing 17 games the last time Sunderland were in the prem they had 19 (NINETEEN) points from playing 38 games.

It is good to see Newcastle fans worried about being in 12th position & a unwillingness to let this be acceptable, that is why I like people like Eric Gates while most mackems were celebrating 2-1 wins + 7th places, people like Eric were saying Sunderland need to strengthen while the going was good but Reidy didn't & then.......you know the story

Thompson is a hard working midfielder with a fantastic shot and good vision. Career blighted by injuries and a nasty temper. You'd get more out of him then you ever will with players like Dyer.

Fairpont with Dyer but then who is Thompson better than? He is the sort of player who should play for yo-yo clubs.

"hard working midfielders" is something a Sunderland manager says **SHIVER**

I would class Butt and Bowyer as both "hard working midfielders" i would also put one of the best servants Newcastle united has had Rob Lee in that category.

There is "hard working, 100per centers, with great engines" then there is class if you dont know the difference I pity you.

We obviously have different out looks on what class is then cause neither Butt or Bowyer come anywhere near it

Iam the fool ??? lets get this right iam not the clown going around using the word CLASS to describe Lee Bowyer and Nicky butt, one of them has not done anything of note for about four years apart from kick an asian in the head and the other well if he was still class surely he would not of been kicked out of United, i think its quiet widely recognised that apart from the opening game of the season against Boro Butt has been a big disapointment, when i use the word CLASS to describe midfielders i think of the likes of Viera, Lampard and Gerrard not second rate has beens like your two.
