Dave Clarke I thought he was awesome at disco noir on fri. mark armstrong was gud 2. would have prefered to hear dave playing till the end although mark's last hour was gud!
I was talking to Scott Bradford on Saturday, he said that they're gonna do 4 Disco Noir events per year He said that it wouldn't work if it was monthly because the techno crowd are too hard to please.
I thought Dave Clarke was damn good although I did expect him to be better. Wasn't impressed with Mark Armstrong... expected him to keep going with the techno after Clarke but he went to breakbeat, although the tunes were good I reckon the Breakbeat should have been left upstairs and he should of finished with some more pounding techno. Twas a good night though.... Jeff Mills for the next one I heard... whenever it might be.
He'll be better than Dave Clarke. He was good on friday but in terms of tunes I've seen better. Probs was expectin too much.
I was gonna go on Friday but went to see the Matrix instead as I still was a bit ill with flu. I wish i'd went now. I'll deffo go and see Jeff Mills tho!
only stayed till 2 as i was in charge of a motor vehicle and there is only so much energy drink you can manage before you start to get all jittery. really enjoyed from the start till about 12, then i was not at all impressed with whoever was on from 12-1. when dave came on at 1 he was average by his standards, and if he listened back to his set i'm sure he would agree. left at 2 as i was dieing from the flu and without the aid of any alchohol to help me forget about it coupled with the fact i felt like shit. the crowd seemed like a charva/dig hybrid very odd.
yeah you played a good set Si I was one of the first people in foundation and got all of your set, was well into your sound. Dave Clarke was good but I have seen him play much better. I was far too :spangled: for my own good. Techno went down v-well in foundation. I can't wait for the next one. Fingers crossed for UMEK
