Dark Trance

    Dark Trance

    I've been listening to a bit of this recently and i am suitably impressed but as of yet i have only heard of 2 DJ's that play it, which are:

    Hypetraxx
    & Sygnus

    I was just wondering if anyone has heard of it and if so what do they think and whether anyone could point me in the direction of some more DJ's in this genre?

    Its all trance at the end of the day tho! why catogrise it into dark trance??? i dont understand the creation of sub genres! Cyber trance, hard trance whatever its all trance??? :spangled: :spangled: :D

    We catagorise it because it sounds completely different.

    Its like saying why have hard house and funky house after all its all house.

    I've never really been a fan of Trance, mainly because I don't like the long 'floaty' breakdowns. I remember when Scott Bond was on last month, I thought some of his tunes were quality but then there was a massive breakdown and that put me off.

    I'm quite interested in hearing 'dark trance' though, sounds a bit more to my liking. Can anyone recommend a particular set that I could get from Soulseek or something? The darker the better.
