Not paying or staying up, but wouldn't mind seeing it.

Danny Williams currently weighs 19 stone, which I can't see being an advantage for him. Been a fan of Klitchko since he fought Lewis, very good boxer. He'll probably boot Danny Williams to fuck...

Apparently the ref stopped the fight in the 8th after Klitschko dropped Williams on his arse for the 4th time

Vitali Klitschko ended Danny Williams' dream of becoming world champion in brutal fashion as the Ukranian comfortably retained his WBC title.

The British fighter had travelled to Las Vegas with high hopes of upsetting the odds yet again as he looked to follow on from his stunning victory over Mike Tyson back in July.

However, a second consectuive shock win was not to be for the 31-year-old as he was battered around the ring at the Mandalay Bay Casino before referee Jay Nady decided he'd seen enough in round eight.

Many believed that Klitschko may underestimate a challenger that less than 12 months ago had lost his British and Commonwealth titles at the hands of Michael Sprott.

Such thoughts were put to bed within the opening exchanges of round one. After so much talk from the Williams camp of head movement and attacking the champion's body, Williams was nothing more than a stationary target that could barely land a blow.

Immediately the left jab of Klitschko found his opponent with unerring accuracy - with each shot that landed it appeared the new found confidence Williams had gained from victory over Tyson was seeping from his battered body.

With 30 seconds to go in the opening round the Brixton boxer hit the canvas for the first time and it appeared it would be a quick night's work for the title holder.

But, somehow he managed to haul himself back onto his uneasy feet to make it through to the bell, an achievement in itself considering the hefty punishment he had taken in the first three minutes.

The one-way traffic continued round after round with Klitschko even feeling confident enough to drop his hands and leave his chin exposed, his left jab making sure his rival could never get close enough to land a meaningful shot.

Cries of “Danny, Danny” boomed out from the English contingent in the crowd as Williams finally managed to find his target in round three, although it was to little effect as he marched straight onto a hard right hand that sent him down for the second time.

It was now all too apparent that it was a matter of 'when' and not 'if' the champion retained his crown.

While Williams was left staggering round the ring like a drunk man trying to get home from his local public house, Klitschko - a man ridiculed by some for being too 'robotic' - circled his prey and showed a variety of punches not normally seen from a heavyweight.

Williams continued to push forward, occasionally getting a brief glimmer of hope as one of his punches landed on the giant Ukranian.

But, after another knock down in the seventh, the end finally came in the eighth as a wilting Williams was caught with a sensational uppercut that rocked him all the way down to the base of his boots.

A swift combination soon followed and that was enough to see him sprawled out on his back. Although he somehow managed to beat the count, referee Nady had seen enough and waved off the contest.

It was a merciful end to what had been a one-sided bout from the very first bell, it was something of a miracle that it had taken so long for the finish to come along.

The victorious Klitschko - who has won 34 of his 37 fights by KO - should rightly take a lot of praise for a performance that proved he is the best heavyweight in the world.

As for the vanquished, Williams must feel a sense of pride in his achievements, no one can now doubt that he doesn't have the heart for a battle after such a brave display.

It was all about the Hatton fight. He absolutely battered Oliveria, quite amazed he lasted till the 10th. Hopefully he'll get his fight against Tzuyu now

Ricky Hatton will fight light welterweight king Kostya Tszyu in Manchester next spring, according to his promoter Frank Warren.
"I have verbally agreed terms with Tszyu's promoter Vlad Wharton and he has to speak to Tszyu," said Warren.

Untill there is an official announcement from Tszyu's camp i wont believe it, since none of the top fighters, Tszyu, Gatti, Harris, Cotto, want to fight Hatton. Tho if they dont fight next it will make a mockery of the whole mandatory challanger stutus and Tszyu should be forced to give up his belt
