    Damp but no damp

Really wierd question, basically my room in my flat is an extension so I have 3 outside walls to my room.

There is no damp on the walls or anywhere in the flat however my room always feels damp in the air. My bedding is always damp and today I picked a purse out of my wardrobe and it was covered in mould!!!!!!!!!

What can I do about this??? Should I just put a heater on or does it need looking at properly??

    get a de-humidifier?

Your landlord will probably do nothing about this at all i'm afraid. I'd imagine it's because it gets cold at night so everything feels cold.

My flatmate when I was at uni had a v similar room (typical of Jesmond houses), he needed 2 duvets and a storage heater during the winter months

    brrr

it's natural - 3 outside walls, they'll be very cold, you'll have the heating on - get a dehumidifier

ok, its not so much cole but litterally everything is wet, especially my duvet and pillows. At first I though it was just cold but its making my face wet when I put my head on a pillow.

I'll invest in a dehumidifier then I think, are they expensive??

    it's gonna get cold though....

then you have to face the arguments with your flatmates when you want to have your extremely expensive electric heater and blanket on all the time.

Your not with Spencer Properties are you?

no, oour landlords are great! I'm ringing them today as I've left it for ages thinking it was my imagination but when I found that thing with mould on today I thought it's best to let them know!

Everything shouldn't be wet! Sounds to me there is a problem with the damproofing and you should get your landlord involved.

Pretty technical explanation there. None of that 3-wall, hot/cold, dehumidified nonsense

Probably down to poor air circulation a dehumidifier should sort if but i wouldnt be staying in a mouldy room you may need a specialist company in to dry the place out

    see your landlord
