One way to get your dj career of the ground is to go in big brother like, not sure how many of his fans will be into minimal like but I bet they'll turn up anyway

One to make make sure your djing career hits the ground like a ton of bricks more like. Shame, 'cos some of his tunes seem ok and going by his pics he leads a normal life. Why he chose to go on Big Brother and ruin all that is beyond me.

He'll be hanging round China White with al' the WAG wannabe's when he's out and any credibilty in the music/djing world he once had will be done the pan.

It helped Kate Lawler's DJ career a fair bit though, so no doubt he'l be doing the next hed kandi cd or something equally horrific.

Didn't she just decide to start doing it?

    Can she actually mix?

Yes and No respectively...the fact that she was in bog brother enabled her to become a dj, despite the fact that she's shit at it.

I'd put money on it that he'll get bookings off the back of big brother. It might be short lived but he'll rake in some coin from it.

Id throughly agree with you, that kind of exposure every night on national TV couldn't do anything bar help you if you were a DJ, know fucker will give 2 shits if he's any good, press will be there & the club will be full, he'll be laughing when he gets out.

Clubs like Fabric, Basics and The End?

Or shite clubs that need some Z lister off tv to pull in the punters?

I see where you're both coming from though.

I suppose any club would be a step up for him when he gets out, Kate Lawler doesn't play the best clubs on the circuit but her dates are back to back & no doubt has the life of riley.

Theres no doubt in my mind that when he's out & if people pick up on the fact he's a DJ/Producer promoters will be all over him, maybe not your top end super clubs immediately but certainly enough dates for him not to work.

Fair play to him to be honest I dont watch BB that much but he comes across a pretty grounded lad, if he has a passion for music (which he seems to by knocking out productions) & can DJ then why not use your time spent in there to get where you want, you'd be mad to waste any opportunity like that imo.

does this mean that minimal's new ambassador will be driving what was a very underground genre straight to the ears of teeny boppers, chavs and the nations unemployed?

this should be good to watch

No one will ever take him seriously as a DJ now he's been on big brother. He'll have a year or two of bookings at places where no one really likes the music he plays.

he'll make a quick buck though but if you're wanting to make it in the music business then going on big brother is the worst thing you could do.

If you have your head screwed on you could easily make it work & gain respect, if your a muppet then I guess your right & you'll end up playing the likes of Blu~Bambu to about 2000 screaming chavars.

Totally untrue, He can either be 'that idiot from Big Brother who's trying to be a DJ', or 'Him from Big Brother who is actually pretty good on the decks'.. in the latter form he could build up a decent following especially with the genre of music.

You could make lots of money but you still wouldn't be respected or highly thought of in the music industry. You'll always be "that guy from big brother".

Kate Lawler has done pretty well to be fair, she started off playing cheesy clubs though has turned it round now and was on at Tong's 'Wonderland' night in ibiza as well as the likes of Pacha etc, and had an ep signed to Toolroom recently as well that was pretty decent considering her background (assuming she made the tracks herself anyways..) Type Kate Lawler into beatport to check it out

Someone was telling me that they saw her smashed at an afters on ket in ibiza as well, so i now have a new found respect for her
