Dada Present - JUSTIN MILLS & ANTONY DALY aka 586 (Reverb) - This Saturday 21st Nov

This one is for the heads out there.

If you've been to a club that plays Techno in Newcastle then you owe a certain level of respect to REVERB, one of the original nights of its type in Newcastle.

However, we don't suggest for one moment that ANYBODY should come because of a sense of duty, we suggest that EVERYBODY should come because Justin & Tony know what makes a good party.

    Dada
    Featuring

Justin Mills (Reverb) & Antony Daly aka 586 (Reverb, Suono)
Ward 10 (Garry Ogden, Keiron Sawkill)
    Last Waltz DJs

    21//11//09
    11-4am
    The Cosmic Ballroom

    Justin & Tony?

...The initial residents at “Reverb”, the only weekly house / techno night, that brought the likes Andrew Weatherall, Carl Craig, Mr C, Funk D’Void, Billy Nasty, Dave Angel, Baby Ford and Vince Watson to Newcastle, in the early 2000’s...

Both have a dance floor pedigree, dating back to the early 90’s – Justin could be found, either on the floor or collecting glasses at the seminal club night “Havana”, in Middlesbrough, or playing alongside Surgeon and Steve Bicknell at "Curious Yellow" - whereas Daly could be found, trying to collect his thoughts, behind his glasses at the Blue Monkey in Sunderland.

With record collections dating back to the original street sounds of (The Original!) Electro, Chicago House and the first wave of Detroit Techno, they were the right partnership to warm up – more often that not, outgunning the guest (unless it was DJ Bone).

Getting the chance to hear these two dj’ing together, is a rare treat – so we recommend you get yourselves down - as they’ll be pulling out over 20 years worth of some of the finest electronic dance music, from their collections. Meaning you’ll get to hear them joining the dots between raw jackin Chicago house from the late 80’s, to fringe friendly Techno of the 00’s.

Like a male nappy, only more 'street'. They're what techno pensioners wear innit.

Would really like to see Rocky & Diesel at Dada early next year, I think they are the sort of DJs I would book for this sort of night.
