Dada Halloween with JAUNT & PHORESKI. Plus EWAN PEARSON info D a d a Halloween Costume Party with PHORESKI (FatFuk, Barefist Records) JAUNT> (Blackhall & Bookless, Richard Rowell) http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=161929538955&ref=mf It's Halloween. We're throwing a costume party with some amazing themed decor and your all welcome to join us as well as some very special guests... This week we invite underground Disco sensation, the producer on the lips of all of those in the know and the man who even Andrew Weatherall referred to as an inspiration... PHORESKI... to take over headline duties in our first floor boudoir. Downstairs will be under the control of JAUNT>. We find it hard to imagine that anyone with a love for house music in Newcastle wont have heard of these guys. This is a rare opportunity to catch the Jaunt DJs (Blackhall & Bookless, Richard Rowell) on a Saturday night in the Cosmic Ballroom as they grace us with a rare appearance before their next party on Nov 27th. After smashing Newcastle last year with bookings such as Solomun and Miss Fitz and appearances at Basics and WHP, then smashing Ibiza with their own parties as well as being handpicked to support Carl Cox at Space, we're looking forward to them smashing it again for Dada. You getting dressed up? The four of us were thinking of going as the Village people, cos we've already got the Indian!
Phoreski Mixes are available here from his label website. http://fatfukrecordings.oki-ni.com/mixes/ Deffo worth a listen, even if you're not traditionally into disco. Some pretty wacky sounds going on in parts
Phoreski was mint, played some quality stuff. didnt manage to get downstairs to check out the jaunt lads but had a quality night!
Yeah, It was another quality night like. If I'm 100% honest, I have to admit to being surprised at how busy we were after the twin roadblock events that took place the day before. Happy times. Roll on Ewan Pearson next week!
