Cueing the mix on a DJM 600

Right, got a DJM 600, and having trouble cueing the mix on it, ie being able to get the levels right through the headphones to match the beat etc. Do i need to use the trims and eqs to adjust the levels coming throught the headphones, otherwise i cant get the tunes im going to bring in clear enough to match the beat... does that make sense? :dunce:

try putting the cue knob all the way 2 cue (or u may have 2 move it a little into master sumtimes)then have headfones quite loud n all the channel lights on (ch-2, ch-3, master etc) thats wot i do n is ok 4 me! (also u might need a bit bass on the one ur cue'ing if it aint very bassy)
