Creating a webpage Reet ive used Dreamweaver before and have knowledge of html and all that. but in the past ive always used some cheap ass template to get me started. I want to create my own graphics, style, fonts etc.... completely original. But where do I start?! :spangled:
short answer: design your pages in photoshop.. then slice the graphics up.. save them for web... and take them into dreamweaver..
I've never really used photoshop for pages. Unless ur needing a graphic rich web page then ur best off just using dreamweaver from scratch and adding ur images that u made seperately in photoshop. Basic starting steps is to make a few tables, ie. A top table, then a table underneath with 2 columns. One used for links and the other for the content. It's all much quicker than using photoshop imo.
be happy with the finished design in photoshop before you start in dreamweaver or you'll be forever changing tables an shit. alot easier and quicker to move a layer than piss about with code
YEAH, CAN'T REALLY ADD MUCH TO THAT... I DO THINGS IN A KINDA DISJOINTED WAY, PHOTOSHOP -> FIREWORKS -> DREAMWEAVER... ALWAYS WORKS THO, SO CAN'T GRUMBLE
probably down to preference then.. still depends how many graphics u want tho cos if u just have one rectangular log, and the rest of the page formated with colours ur much better off using DW (imo).
nice to see we're all on the same page with the technical terms of things i still like to just call it a header image
