creating a flash strobe effect

I am using swish, and I am trying to create a flash movie which starts off strobing...(black to white etc)

I thought it would just be a simple case of creating a loop...but it doesnt seem so easy.

Ideas?

you could create a movie clip with the framerate at sumthing daft like 50/60fps.. with alternate black and white frames looped.. export then try importing into another movieclip with a standard framerate?... mite work

or you could do it properly by defining a few variables.. but ive forgotten.. used it in a banner a while bk... sorry
