    Well I'd love to arrange a meeting with my tutor about my deadlines because I'm on jury service soon, but I can't even sodding email him.

    Also, ANYONE!! Is the server URL http://student.ac.uk? I ask because I'm trying to link it to Outlook express

    does he sort macs in the design building?... why all the restrictions!! (cant download and play most flash files/cant use realplayer/media player) not much kop for design kids :p

    its not the 'free roam' im bothered about.. but surely, design kids should be able to use media players, use right click.. yes right click.. using only left click in flash on a mac is torture :p ... plus.. no zip drives/ or access to network space from the macs??.. wtf??

    as u can see i was less than pleased when i had to pay 'studio fees' when a piss-filled bus station payphone has better facilities than unn.

    it's to do with all the tax dodgers saving their massive graphics assignments and downloaded net porn onto the shared drives and filling up the hard drives. Apparently MACs and the OS don't like the drives being 95% full and it all becomes 'unstable' and falls on it's arse alot.

    They're sorting something out i think. you should work for UNN - it's mint.

    Download' desktop anywhere', then access outlook through that and you will be fine.

    anyone wanting to tie their UNN mail into their copy of outlook express needs to log in at uni or through desktopanywhere, fire up Outlook and then go through the following:

    Click on tools > services, then click on "Microsoft Exchange Server", click on Properties.

    This should give you the name of the exchange server (in my case my mail server is called anchorage).

    To access this in outlook express, set up a Microsoft exchange server account, use

    server: exchangeservername.unn.ac.uk (eg mine would be anchorage.unn.ac.uk)
    username: your uni username
    pass: your pass

    result :D
