    Cool Vista theme for XP

If anybody wants a good Vista theme for XP try:

    http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS-Enhancements/Vista-Transformation-Pack.shtml

I don't reccomend using the Bootscreen or StartOrb mods though, they are glitched and look gash. Also using the Vista font didn't work very well so don't reccomend that either. You can find out more at the link above.

I've had no bother but I would still recommend you have your XP disc to hand and create a restore point just in case!

It's fully uninstallable - you may find you need to uninstall/reinstall a few times to get the settings you want, as you can't change major settings once it's installed and some of them are a bit glitchy.

Also if you are unsure about system files...don't blame me if you break anything :p I read through the spiel and theres no issues like.

Anyway just thought i'd share that!

This one is the best i've used really, i'd generally sacked off the whole skinning lark due to frequent fannying on, needing to do things seperately, manually altering system files etc...this is literally one click and can be totally reversed just as easily (via add/remove programs)

It's safe but you do seem to have a habit of breaking things so don't blame me if it doesn't go to plan :p

Ive been using this like, its quality. Had loads of grief with the sidebar and the Orb button at the start though so had to get rid of them. Apart from that its sound

Out in the sticks cool as fukk gang! :)
i dont see what the issue is with vista, i got the official upgrade and full driver updates from HP and mine is running sweet, far, far better than xp EVER did. and im not some IT fool, i know enough to know it has significantly improved the general day to day running of my system. plus, aero looks far better than any fake xp skin can :p flip 3d is surprisingly useful when you are running a lot of intensive apps, it allows you to see a large image of the screen running, in real time, with no slowdown.

once it fucks up i'll be the first to be in here whinging about it, but i've had it for a month now and it has been superb (apart from the fact i had to replace my wireless adapter due to 3com choosing not to support it anymore)...

yeh, they were all over the place for me like, just dotted randomly round the screen.

I don't think it really makes much difference not having the start button fully rounded

Spud - I only say it due to issues i've had at work, which can be found in other threads.

HOWEVER, when I rebuilt the installation from scratch myself....it's now running fine.

Previously any program would give a certifiate error, wireless wouldn't work..but now it's all seeminly pretty smooth.

I have the business edition for free from uni so may install that on my laptop in due course.

My pc would probably blow up if i tried to run full Aero
