    Compressing MP3's

My 512mB memory stick for me ericsson w800i only holds about 5 or 6 albums.
What about compressing them a bit further to cram more on, yay or nay?
how much could they be compressed without serious loss of quality, bearing in mind it dont have to be perfect, im only using tatty pound shop earphones, and i change my music more often than i change my undercrackers.
whats the best software to use?

If your not using decent head phones and just want loads of music in a small space you can push 16kbps (about the same clarity as radio).

Then again if the head phones are shit it wont matter

What you need to do is open the file in sound forge. Then go to file and save as. In the box that appears you can chose the quality you save as. Chage it to what you want to the computer will do the rest.

right ive downloaded a copy of Blaze Media Pro. its a lot less hassle than messing about with something dodgy and having to fuck around with cracks and shit to get it to work.
what exactly will adjustment of the output frequency have?
i can have from 6kHz to 48kHz in steps of about 6-8kHz
bit rate can be from 8 to 320 kbps.
what are suitable settings do yous reckon?
