coloured plastic sheets and halogen ceiling light rings shit thread i know but does anyone know where i can get some transparent plastic sheets, the ones that are as thin as paper but jsut multicoloured. im thinking craft shops should do it but anyones input welcome. and on another weird note, does anyone know where i can buy some rings to cover the edges on halogen uplighters, the ones u make it neat when theyre up in the roof and ya cant see the hole. vague as fuck like but help welcome
strangely found these on a dj site http://www.djstore.com/item/sky151652.htm?affid=froogle somet along them lines
they're known as 'gels' in the trade and you can buy them on the team valley at what used to be sound electronics but I think they changed their name to arcadia? hndreds of different colours they don't melt or catch fire when powerful stage lighting is shone through them. Is that the sort of thing you meant? and halogen roof lights are so cheap just buy the whole thing. Screwfix on the tyne tunnel trading estate are cheap
i think arcadia went bust a few years ago forks, mal's son, peter took over with a re-name of acme or summik - there was another 'disco' shop just over the road from the unit last i heard if its coloured lights you want lee, why not just get: http://buy.maplin.co.uk/Free_UK_Delivery/Coloured_Dichroic_Lamps_25149_v2.htm the gels will fade to nothing after a while and look mingin when they're done
cheers for the input, i think what i might just do is buy some coloured bulbs, should save the piss on and melting. the reason i need them ring type things to conceal the edges is because the drill attachment i used got a bit carried away and took too much off. ill upload a pic of what i was doing in a bit
