college i did shit at skool now i stuck in a dead end job with fuck all prospects. i want to go to college and do a full time course in either computing or sport. can ne 1 help with ideas and were to luck cheers
I did a Cisco networking course at Gateshead last year, part time. Good facilities there! If you arn't too familiar with computing then start out with a lower course, but they have alot to offer computing wise. Is there any particular field in computing you are interested in? Newcastle College, Northumbria uni and Sunderland uni also offer some cracking computing/IT courses
id start applying for either an HEFC if you want to go to Uni next year you can study them on a night time so you wouldnt have to give up work :groovy:
Whatever you do - dont think that 'certifications' are going to help you in IT - they are a minor foot in the door .... and if you want to get them.... let someone else pay for them. Do a night course, buy a cheap pc and read some books - dont waste years and years and thousands learning 'IT' just to be thanked with a pittance salary (if you can even get a job) at the end of it. Some minor experience, and a job starting at the bottom is what you want. an HNC/HFC or something. REPEAT. Do not waste your money on IT education.
Its a great industry!!! What other jobs let you sit listening to an ipod while you post on the nucastle board each day!
drug dealer. If your willing you can re do your gcse's at college then progress from there as if it was your first time. stick at it and do something more entertaining than I.T. Gatesheads a good college like, and i garauntee you'll be classed as intelligent there 'cos its full of charvs. Lecturers are canny good aswell.
