    Clubs that have gone

just reading about all the shananagins at digital and got thinking about all the the clubs that have vannished over the last 10 years
madisons, energy house, walkers, rockshots, foundation, the venue, tux 2,manhattons,top hats, the boat, collisium, planet earth, global village and probably some ive forgotten or didnt know about
but all these venues were mainly used for dance music

Believe it was 'planet earth' and then became 'bonkers' for a short while - quality name eh!

Riverside was and always will be my favourite venue in the toon, saw so many good djs/acts there, probably had THE best atmosphere of any club i've ever been to

the old whq was good, lots of canny little nights went down there, the first forensic dos were awesome, even if it was smaller than most peoples houses, remember trying to play pool downstairs on a table that was about half a foot away from the wall on all sides

remember going to see brandon block and the likes at Madisons or maybe it had just become NE1 by then? on a thursday when I was about 16

notable mention to fat sams/barcode not a club but was a blinding little bar :cool2:
