are you just after something to display a picture or something to play games? if you're after it for games use that one's not going to do the job, you'll need a 9800 or better at least.

thats the one I've got it runs half-life 2 fairly comfortably, but anything like quake 4 / doom 3 it'll struggle. should be alright for older games though

do you really need 256mb? i thought that it was wasted having that much i had a cheap shit nvidia 256mb card that was around £90 when i bought it, a month or so back i bought a reconditioned at 9700 pro for £40 deliverd from fleabay and its pretty dam fucken good tbh i only ever play live for speed and the odd bit of unreal 2003, so it suits me down to the ground FPS in LFS jumped from around 20ish to 80ish and i turned on AA+4 + AF+8 at the same time, 9800 pro will be a little more
