CDJ800's vs Technic 1210s which should i buy? is the future in cds? or is buying technics a good option for now? unfort i can't stretch to 2 cdj1000's
Think it'd be better to buy the 1210s first, especially if ya have something that doesn't compete with it. To be honest there are no big differences between the CDJ1000 and CDJ800. Bar the £300 price difference anyway
After watching loads of A list DJ's in ibiza CD's are the thing at the moment. Learn the basics start with the decks and learn the ways of the force, then look at mixing from different ausio sources like CD & Mp3
cds are the future. but you cant get everything on CDs yet. get technics liam. i got a CD Deck today! its coooooooooooool.....
i've got decks already.. not the best tho (by a long shot ) and mixing isnt really a problem. i'm getting a grand soon and wasn't sure what was the best way to spend my cash, whether it was worth getting technics if they were on the way out...
they will never die out, technology means you can loop and sample on the CD decks you can't do that on a normalk deck clever stuff to say the least.
still get technics, cos not everything is out on CD at the moment. vinyl will be with us for quite a while yet. get a cheap CD deck too!
Get Technics then get a CD deck later on... I'll bring my CDJ around one night next wk if you want to road test it..?
Re: CDJ800's vs Technic 1210s Get Technics!!!!!! You'll kick ur self if you don't! If you have cds as well just get one cd player! I'v got 3 technics, and cdj1000 Thats the set up!! Ask you self how many cd's do you get? Now ask how much more available is vinyl! There is your answer!!!
Batfink - try ebay you'll get as new technics 1210's set ups for £500. An example: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3043216680&category=3283
Had this argument with a few people numerous times before. Regardless of what anyone says, cd decks are going to be the way forward....but for some reason, getting music other than top 40 chart fodder or stuff produced by your best mate on cd is extremely hard to come by. My advice would be to get both though. Turntables ain't gonna die out any time soon as far as I'm concerned, and basically with Technics you're getting something thats been tried and tested by djs the world over for the past 20-30 years. I really can't see anything topping the 1200/1210's any time soon for reliability issues alone. Cd decks have seriously come a long way in the past 12 months or so, but like I already said, finding the music you want on cd is a lot harder than you'd imagine....so get a basic to mid range cd deck to compliment the set up.
