    CD Turntable War!!!!!

    Pioneer vs. Technic

What is the best CDJ 1000 MKII or the SL-DZ1200???

Forgetting the industry standard side of the argument tho! On spec which is best?

The Technics one seems to have been a monumental flop it seems.

The Technics has the better specs - but that doesnt mean they are much use. The scratching on them has a very un natural 'digital' sound to it - It doesnt feel as solid as the pioneer either.

I'd always say get 2 types of cdj - Get one pioneer cdj1000 for the whole 'club standard' thing that everyone wants (i know you didnt want to hear that) and then get something interesting to play about on .... any one of the denons would be sweet.

What didnt you like about it Si .... i cant fault mine at all.

Quick stabs on the pitch bend button and being able to set the pitch fader to -/+ 4% in particular.

The cue setting is a bit of a pain sometimes

My first introduction to it was at 330am at MOS , I planned to do my whole set off cd and got their and they had the Denons which i had never used before

I hated the platter moving round and buttons were too rubbery and unresponsive.

If i had more time with it my opinion might change but from that experience i hated it

Missing out the Denon DN-S players is terrible.

these are the only players worth considering alongside the pioneers

The only cd deck i would consider in the high end market would be the denon dn-s 3500

    beats the pioneer hands down

(edit : on recent reviews anyway, would have to try it myself)
