    CD Starter Kit: Beginner.. help!

    People,

I'm looking for a nice starter pack fro CD mixing, i've been looking on decks.co.uk at their pack deals and the builld your own option. I have a budget of 400-500 and at the mo am looking at a Numark CDN-22Mk3 CD Player with a Behringer DX-626 Mixer for 269.00.

Bear in mind I'm a beginner whose will be looking to upgrade later.

    What do you reckon?
    Any advice/tips/treats appreciated.

i'm not an expert on CD decks, budget or pro ones, but i always say - once u have an idea what u want - eBay! Get decent setups fairly cheap. Just don't forget delievery on top!

I bought my Denon-DS5000 and Pioneer CDJ-1000MK2 because

    a) they are the best
    b) if i get rid of them, ill at least get a decent amount for them unlike cheap stuff..

It seems like no matter what comes out, unless you have technics tt's or pioneer cdj's, the second hand value of kit is a fraction of what you would think (I found this out first hand when a 600 quid setup i bought was only worth 200 quid a year later when i tried to sell it)

My advice would be not to get cd decks until you can afford pioneer cdj800's or denon ds3000's at the very least..... having said that, they are pricey m0therfvckers so its all about whether or not you have the patience to save up.... i think you'll be happier in the long term.

Another thing to bear in mind is that the way the decks above "work" is the way the club standards are - which is a table top style with a large scratch disc and things... so if you ever play out then you'll be right at home with whatever you have to use there.

Im not a dj mind, so my word is probably worth fvck all to be honest but i bought a pair of cd decks last week for the reason(s) above.

    Hope that helps.

id probable get a pioneer CDJ, even if itsj ust a 100 (like ive got), as they are the best ones IMO. Ive used quite a few different one,s nad they are the best IMO. Just buy the best you can afford really. Try and give them a go before you buy too.....to see what you think...
