CD rom drive

CD rom drive

Does anyone know why each time I start up my computer it says, Disk drive or system drive 0 not found. It coincides with the fact my cd-rom drive won't open at all, why is this???It's doing my head in!

maybe the lead has come out inside the pc, if it isn't that its broke

most likely a failure between mainbaord and cd drive, check the leads in the back if you can.

do you move your computer about, is it a laptop?

This sounds about right..
The molex connector must of came out.
Simply remove the cover from your case and have a peer inside.. If you see a white plastic thing with four wires connected to it hanging about, or there is not one in the back of your CD-Drive then push one in..

soapie don't do this i will sort it out, i fear for your pc's safety if you start messing about inside.
