cd recording right just got a new cd recorder to get some sets on to cd, from the shop i bought 1 CD-RW disc and a box of 10 CD-R discs. using the RW to perfect my mix then recording it to the CD-R as it's a double tray recorder. the RW disc records no bother in deck b of the recorder then once i put it in to deck a to play(which it does) and a blank CD-R in deck b (recording deck) it won't record. i then tried recording straight to a CD-R in deck b and the display keeps reading data disc?? both discs are exact the sam(maxell) but with the difference of one being rewritable any help much appreciated
sony rcd w 100 theres a picture of one of them in th htfr catlouge for£ 259 i got mine from richer sounds for £200 and it's silver
just want to do livesets straight from my decks /cdj to cd although it is a bit of a twat when a beat goes galloping off the disks rewritable 1000 times probs go through ten of them till the mix is spot on
You're much better off pre-recording it in soundforge mate, that way if you stuff up a mix you can simply edit it out. Say for example you mixed from A into B and it traincrashed. Rewind A to a point halfway through the song that you recognise (breakdowns are good for this). Start playback from this point and play A through again. Mix into it again as you wanted to, and continue the mix all the way through. If you're having a bad night of it then you can re-do all of the mixes like above. Then when you finish your mix, go to the point in A where you restarted the track, except go to the first time you played it. From there highlight everything from that point until you reach the silence left by you rewinding your CD/record/whatever. Delete all of that until you're left with the point at which you started playing A again on the right, the point at which you would have played it on the left, and a silent gap in the middle. Then zoom in on the gap between the two portions, highlight the gap and remove it. Hey presto, you've removed your cockup and noone is the wiser Going back to your cd recorder, have you finalised your CD-RW before copying?
cheers for that m8 no i dont think so i thought finalisation was done when the cd was made ?? ive done a mix and this proccess was automaticaly done when i press stop record. it reads finalisation then counts down for a few seconds then puts it straight to the begining for play back gona have another read of the mannual as ever time iv'e went to read it iv'e been :spangled: through the excuse of the festive season
Not necessarily, you can finish the track but not the session (or even the CD) I've had a look at the manual and it's confusing as hell :spangled:
i your right there mate the same goes for the cdj mannual either that or im a thick cunt any way's when ive got a half decent set together il give you a shout it'll be the first one iv'e put up on here so a tiny bit excited to see what people think it should at least get your big toe moving take it easy bud andy
I never read the manuals for stuff, I just prefer to work out what stuff does myself Look forward to hearing your mix, if you want some hosting for it give me a yell.
