    CD Decks

Whats a good starter CD deck ? I have Technics 1210's at the moment but want to add some half decent cd decks to my set up. Has to be well priced but want it to last a good amount of time without need for upgrading. Advice would be appreciated:)

Certainly, if you've got 500 quid to spare :p

Thats probably what I would do now even if it meant saving up. Also in that price range, in fact 10 quid cheaper is the Denon DN-S3000, with a whole host of features, and a motorised platter.

I have an American Audio PSX, which you can now get for just over £300. They are really well built, and nice and easy to get to grips with. iDJ gave it 4.5/5 a little while back.

You won't get better than that for the money......the Pioneer CDJ-100 is always an option, but they are dated and limited to mixing and just a few effects..no loops or sampler etc like you get on the PSX.

    So...tightish budget....PSX, otherwise get yourself a cdj-800!

no, got it for £430 odd back in november tho.

A few months have passed, prices tend to fall...... another £50 is no probs.

Ive got a couple of cdj 800's and like em.

Just depends on cash mate. If youre playing out a bit then get a cdj 800, if not start of with a cdj 100 :)
