Carlos hands in transfer request ??? Real Madrid star Roberto Carlos has handed in a request to move in the January transfer window, according to reports in Spain. The Brazil left back is thought to have handed in his request to Real sporting director Emilio Butragueno after being left of the starting XI during Saturday's narrow 3-2 win at Racing Santander. Manager Mariano Garcia Remon left both Roberto Carlos and David Beckham on the bench at El Sardinero, claiming the pair had not trained well in the build-up to Saturday's match. His omission for the Racing contest has reportedly upset the World Cup winner and prompted him to ask for a transfer when the window reopens next month. Despite being under contract until 2007 at El Santiago Bernebeu, the South American is thought to want a move after the club refused his requests to put him on the same wages as some of Real's top earners like Raul, Ronaldo and Beckham. It remains to be seen if Real grant Roberto Carlos his request to leave, but the left back is sure to have plenty of suitors, if he is made available.
Arsenal will be on red alert if this is the case, Cole's already being sniffed isnt he and altho he was about the monkey chants etc when England played i dont think it will make a diff if ££ is offered !!!
I reckon Chelsea could be in for him dont think Jose is to keen on Bridge as he has been playing Gallas on the left in recent weeks
Mourino was only playing Gallas at left back cause he wanted a more defensive minded left back, with Gallas being pretty poor going forward he brought Bridge on at the start of the second half.
The Return Of The Shoe Man Cant find nothing about the above story but I did find this: Parma's technical director Arrigo Sacchi is set to be appointed Real Madrid's director of football. The role will involve overseeing players coming and going at El Santiago Bernabeu, although he will not be involved with first-team affairs. Sacchi's agent Ernesto Bronzetti has likened Sacchi's job at Real to Sir Alex Ferguson's position at Manchester United but without having a say in team selection. Bronzetti, who held talks with Real on Sunday, commented: "His job will be like Ferguson's, but he won't be on the team's bench." Real have confirmed that discussions with the Italian tactician have taken place over the past few weeks and that he is the club's prime candidate to fill the position. Sacchi, who has previously managed Italy and Serie A giants Milan, will work under Real's sporting director Emilio Butragueno in Madrid.
Re: The Return Of The Shoe Man They should've gone for the world's best DoF - Frank Arnesen - but he's taken now
