can sum1 plz help me? i don't suppose any1 knows what modem is best to get when trying to network a pc, a PS2 & an x box for broadband? thanks!!!
i know there is a way to allow a PS2 to connect to the net usin a pc's brodaband connection - but it sure as hell aint easy... and ive never heard of it being done in the UK, only in the US... and as for networking an xbox and a pc - its the first ive heard of being able to do it - it has an built in modem, but it's not meant to be networked with a pc? (i do know the xbox requires an existing broadband connection - but i dont know the specifics) for that matter, neither is the PS2 - it requires a lot of messing around, and (probably) a high level of technical knowledge... when i get some time i'll look into the connection sharing thing... but i wouldnt hold my breath if i was you - chances are if you want to connect all 3 to broadband, ur gonna have to do it seperately, or at least one at a time. feel free to correct me if im wrong - but this is merely what i have observed... :groovy:
cheers!!! it ain't 4 me as i live 2 far in the sticks to get broadband!! asked amy but she suggested a thread in here!!!
I think this will allow you to get all three online at once.... http://www.dslsource.co.uk/510v4.asp?idShop=42 You would also need the net adaptor for the ps2 (about £40). I'm not sure about the xbox, I think it has a network adaptor built in. Hope this helps.
