Can anyone recommend a decent make cd-r .......

    ........ for use with cdj1000's ??

Had a few different makes and they have been very hitty-missy , tracks jumping / skipping , loss of bpm reading etc .

I tend to find mine skip anyway. Think it's probably my writer although nass said that playing music could make them skip.

writing them at slower speeds usually improves the quality too, if you're having loads of bother try using 8x, it'll still do a CD in ten minutes.

Big Pockets are also meant to be very good e-tailers.

I think Vertabim are one of the best out there..
Although I wouldn't expect Sony to be far from the top of the pile..

do as conway says mate - just try writing at lower speeds with your current media.

for data it doesnt really matter but for audio, it's better writing at lower speeds if you get problems

good advice - 4 speed to make sure.

as for this one, put the blank cd in first, before you open Nero, then when u open nero, it checks the disk format and gives u what speeds it can burn at  works the same with DVDs

Don't know if this has been said but you need to be careful with the environment your PC is in when writing a CD.

    1) Don't play music with beats, this can affect the laser..

    2) Don't step heavily in your room or slam doors

    3) Write at the lower speeds (i.e. 8x)

I stick to these rules and my music plays perfectly every time - using a standard 52x CD Writer, 3 years old, and rediculously cheap CD-Rs from Ebay.
