I was about to sign up with HostPapa because they were at the top of a 'best UK web hosts' list that I seen but after reading real reviews, I haven't read one that recommends them. iPage got slightly better reviews but again nothing more than average. My site is for a local driving instructor and runs on Joomla 1.7. Cheers!
1and1 have been fine for me for the last two years. Fairly cheap too if you're not needing to many addresses. Think I paid about £9.00 for the year (might not have even been that TBH) and that gave me 5 email addresses.
123-reg.co.uk are good. I can also recommend equiphase.net from personal experience. Both are fairly cheap and pretty reliable
