can anyone explain this.... why doesnt my msn messenger icon appear? instead its this nasty black box... usually appears when im online but its just like this all the time now...
Looks like some kind of program corruption or maybe spyware has done something to it, just a guess though.
thanx! ive tried reinstalling it in the past... - the icon is fine now - its just when i start my pc it goes back to 'the box'... only started doing it when i upgraded msn to 6.x from 4.x... damn it!
you useing a older version of windows? the task bar looks a bit grey and old (but i cant remember what the old versions of windows looks like now )
nope xp pro.... i hate the xp interface toss and all its bolox feautures that u dont actually need... so ive got classic view on...
XP interface is fking wank lol, was turned off within 5 mins of me getting my 1st XP pc. "OMG LOOK AT MY L33T BLUE AND GREEN PRIMARY COLOUR SCHEME!!¬"
I used to use 2000 but then changed over to XP (on 3 different PC's), it runs quicker and been a hell of alot more stable. Even at work we changed from 2000 to XP and solved lots of problems we had before that.
someone talking sense rather than the "it's cool to slate Windows" briggade. We're rolling out XP on P4 2.6's (thats what mine is) and it's lightning fast. If your PC is running slow - get someone who knows what they're doing to build it.
ive got a 2200XP and 1gb RAM, with XP on, and mines fast as fuck. Youve probably got loads of shit on the comp. have a clear out, and defrag...
....and got a lot more holes than 2000, with remote assistance and the help center coming to mind as the most prominent examples...
both of which can be disabled and blocked very easily. more to the point, do we know what causes the little black square yet?
