If Joe goes in with the intention of knocking him out I think hes more likely to lose

could be one of his toughest fights this like

can you imagine how good calzaghe would have been if not for his dodgy hand he fought reid for 6 rounds with a broken hand and had to change his style to combat his disability as awsome as he is it must be in his mind not to hit to hard incase it fucks up again
one of britains best ever tho imo

In the past the big fights have brought out the best in Calzaghe, and if he fights as well as he can on saturday and is at his best then i dont think there is a fighter in the world that can live with him.

Fucking come on Joe, do the old cocky cunt.

This is what Joe has been waiting for all these years, a big fight with a respected and great fighter like Hopkins. If he loses it backs up their claims that he isnt all that great and if he wins it will finally shut them up.

I think Calzaghe will win by a 12 round UD, but i wouldnt be surprised if we get dodgy judges and give it to the wrong man. A bit like when Lewis clearly beat Hollyfeild yet they scored the fight a draw!?

    Come on Joe!!!

    been trading insults:

Joe Calzaghe and Bernard Hopkins both weighed in at 12 stones 5lbs (173lbs) ahead of their light-heavyweight showdown in Las Vegas on Sunday.

After the two men came in two pounds under the limit, they clashed in the traditional pre-match photo-call.

Hopkins, 43, told undefeated Calzaghe: "I'm going to bust your heart."

But for the first time this week, Calzaghe hit back with some insults of his own, with promoter Frank Warren saying: "That's exactly what I wanted."

Warren added: "Joe has never been better prepared and I'm confident he will do the job in style."

    606: DEBATE
Who will win Sunday's big fight?

Calzaghe, who took to the stage wearing a Cardiff City football shirt, was backed by 4,000 fans - far outnumbering those supporting his American opponent at the Planet Hollywood casino.

He said: "Fighting out here has always been my destiny, and now is the perfect time to do it. I could have come over here five years ago but I might not have handled it as well as I am now.

"I might be a home boy at heart but I can handle it all. Nothing bothers me about coming here. I came here because of the challenge presented by beating Hopkins on his home ground. Lesser challenges do not interest me any more."

The Welsh fighter's fans chanted "Who are ya? Who are ya?" at Hopkins as he crossed his forearms in his "Executioner" stance.

Hopkins retorted: "He might throw thousands of punches but I'm a sniper.

"If he throws a thousand punches that leaves him open a thousand times. I'm the most accurate and pinpoint fighter there is."

Actors Sylvester Stallone and Michael J Fox joined the fighters on the stage, as did boxers Amir Khan, Roy Jones Jr, Zab Judah, Marco Antonio Barrera, Juan Diaz and Shannon Briggs.

Aye I noticed that when putting me footy bet on earlier. Just have a smaller flutter on him knocking him out in one of the rounds thats all you ever get decent odds on when it comes to boxing.

It was probably closer than Joe would have liked and I only had him ahead by a round or maybe two but at times in the fight he made Hopkins look shit, the low blow was ridiculous, Hopkins must be some sorta freak if his balls are there. As expected Hopkins took defeat like a woman. Thats what happens when you go fighting white boys
