    Calling all Fashion Guru's

I'm a little confused. Could someone who could be described by the above title (or even if you couldn't) please explain to me what is becoming an increasingly widespread concept - that of FURRY HOODS:evil: WHY??

I'm sure I must be the only member of the population who doesn't have this thing around my neck. From 7 to 70 everybody i walk past seems to have one. When at work at sainsburys i got whole families, consisting of kids, parents and grandmas, coming my till sporting this look. Even people who usually dress ok appear to have jumped on this bandwagon, which appears to be still rapidly gathering momnetum.

Could someone please explain to me if they have a technical advantage, i.e do they keep you warmer than a coat without such a hood?:spangled:

The worse thing is everytime I look an even higher percentage of the population has one! I'm don't usually the feel the need to start threads on such topics but this time i felt compelled to - is the rest of the world laughing at me for not having one:eek: ?! I dont claim to be any sort of fashion diva so please could someone tell me if i'm missing out on anything usefull or if i'm right and they're just crap:p

Well u know most peeps follow the fashion trail! What one wears and it catches on everyone else does!

I dont own one myself not that I have anything against them I dont particularly follow fashion if i like something I get it! If its in fashion or not! I dont like to walk around loking like everyone else though! One thing I cant stand is FCUK!! I used to wear it all hte time but now i dont really wear it much as eveyone and anyone wears it!

I have to admit I have seen the hoods on literally everyone! They look warm thou!

    Re: Calling all Fashion Guru's

no its just fashion. its so popular mainly as the catwalks in summer for the autumn/winter collection sported much fake fur detail on thier clothing. this made your designer shops stock some, which in turn made the high street shops stock it (topshop-miss s) which in turn made your cheaper copy shops stock it (paragon-tj hughes-bargain hats and stuff) therefore reaching a large percentage of the population (you can get a decent coat with fur from poundstretcher now) as they can afford it now about £15. this happens with every trend - remember flat knee high boots? now in priceless for £10 - remember curly up rubber shoes £45 topshop £15 priceless. stripey tops £22 miss selfridge £10 tjhughes! fucking gutter when you have bought it at top price!
i always find h+m a safe bet for this to not happen, mainly as all thier stuff is a bit weird which if strewn together haphazardly can look vaguely unique.

Re: Re: Calling all Fashion Guru's

the fur detail on the a/w catwalks was a million miles away from furry parkers - furry parkers are a throw back from last year and the year before that. this has nothing to do with the shops and everything to do with badly dressed hed kandi girls who misinterpret vogue :D

yes joe- and a lot of things worn on the catwalk are toned down for high street use -how many people do you see wearing this round eldon sq?

not many? thats coz high street buyers ect buy clothing which has the same look just more toned down!
