Building a computer - help! Hi - I'm wanting to buy a PC but have been told it'll be easier to build one - now I haven't got a clue when it comes to stuff like this so I need help....I know Si Quick posted a similar thread a few months ago, but it seems to have been deleted Anyway - I need it for music production (long term) and internet / recording mixes etc (short term) Budget - 4oo quid, poss stretch to 500 spec: it's quite specific due to me wanting to get into production but here goes: 512Mb RAM (or better) 2 GHz minimum processor speed good soundcard eg. Audiophile 2496 Windows operated Intel Pentium 4 processor or equivalent phono ins etc No TINY and No DELL please (due to parts and / or shitness of company) What I need to know is how to get the parts, where's best to get them, cost, and HOW TO BUILD THE THING! Any advice greatly appreciated....
These days its cheaper and easier to buy one than build one and if you have not done it before its defo a good idea to buy, PC's are sooo chaep atm
Pc Index can look up prices of all the stuff u need there. main problem is making sure ur mobo and ram and processor all work together nicely
Re: Re: Building a computer - help! I've had mine for 4, zero troubles. No plans to replace it! As for parts...they are exactly the same as every other pc If I were you i'd just buy one, you could have some big bother if you don't know what you are doing!
ok, all you need is some wire, few circuit boards a screwdriver, plastic, solder, soldering iron, glue, metal, and a desk fan from poundland. bingo you have a computer i couldnt build a flat pack, let alone a computer!
Re: Building a computer - help! just go to any computer shop near you tell them what you want they'll price it and build it BINGO
