Broadband... What speed do people recommend to get? Bearing in mind i dont wanna spend a fortune, also which ISPs do peeps recommend for Broadband? and does my phone peeps have to be the same as my ISP? cos i ve got BT at home...
ADSL only works on BT lines(you can choose any isp), me and amyblah have got it. Two good companies are www.nildram.com and my fave www.zenadsl.com or .co.uk. There is also pipex.com Please dont be tempted by the likes of BT, Freeserve and AOL, there all slow as hell. Id just get the 512 home package (512kbs speed, downloads of 60kb/sec at best) Prices vary from isp to isp but it averages out at 25-30quid a month and a 1off setup charge of around 50quid, well worth it tho. Dont be tempted by companies offering it for 17quid etc, they block filesharing so u wouldnt be able to download mp3s etc from kazaa, winmx. Also make sure u can get adsl in ur area! Alternatively theres Cable from NTL or telewest, if ur lucky enough to have it available in your area, get it as its cheaper for higher speed lines (1mbs)
Ive got NTL broadband @ 512k n it costs £25 a month. It is mint n ya dont av 2 av the phone connected 2 NTL (still usin BT). The 1mb service is £50 a month i think!

I have Telewest (Blueyonder) Broadband (cable, 512kbps), which costs £25 a month. I wana upgrade to Blueyonder 1Mb tho, which is £35, but it'd be kinda pointless.
