    Is there any way you can check the speed of ur broadband? Other than going to your provider? Im sure mines not as fast as its supposed to be :( :mad:

    says my d/l is 445 kbs + my upload is 122kbs

    what connection are these speeds related to?

    ive asked telewest about this before + i was sending tracks mp3s over messenger to vin + he thought i was on dial-up :eek:

    dunno what speeds they're relating to...probs what ur connections for up & downloading are...ring telewest & complain tho...ur paying for a service that ain't giving u what ur paying for!! :)

    if you have a 1megabit connection, it doesn't mean you will download at 1000kb/s! 456 is bloody good.

    I am on a 512k connection at home, my downloads are usually between 50 - 65k/second.

    remember, connections are rated at kiloBITS or megaBITS per second, not bytes :)

    Juski is right.

    And messenger is often slow, and can depend on alot of things as to why its slow!

    yeah, it's awesome. They dont even have any sort of filter on what you can/can't look at. You cant use .exe files or install anything on the uni pc's tho :mad:
