    Broadband

What does everyone reckon the best deal is? Or are they all much of a muchness?

Are all the companies all the same in terms of performance / speed / reliability etc?

'Broadband' internet services is a wide basic term used to describe any 'high speed' connection over a 56K/IDSN. Make sure you know what you're getting. i.e. Tiscali 'Broadband' for £14.99 is only 128K or something - nowhere near the 512K. A BT engineer once said while installing Laz's BT ADSL that Telewest Blueyonder was a more reliable service with fewer drops in performance.

i've got nowt like - i just use works!

Ive heard that about Blueyonder too.

Im on BT, and I've never had any bother with drops or anything like that.....my modem packed in a while ago like but they sent me a new one and gave me a month free for the inconvenience!

I would have got cable, but where I live there is no cable!!

cable's beter if you dont already have a phone line, because you dont need to pay the subscription costs associated with a phoneline, whcih you need for ADSL.
