    brits & amsterdam

after several weeks of many uk tourists being refused entry into hotels and hostels in amsterdam, the netherlands government say they are helpless in anything they can do to the hotels etc.

over the last few weeks more and more uk tourists have been turned away from hotels and hostels in the city because of "so called bad behaviour" and problems with the coffee shops and drugs.
considering that over 30% of visitors to amsterdam each week are from uk then this is having a knock-on effect on the retail, catering and entertainment business here.
van het is a tourist minister and has said that this will effect the image of amsterdam as portrayed in the uk media and could possibly damage tourism in the country for decades to come.

"personally i think it is more likely that the lastest attacks on the uk will be the real culprit here as every major city could be at risk as long as there are brits there"

i live in nijkirk and we dont see any of these problems....

has anybody off this board had any trouble of late ??

stopping brits coming over here for a :chill: and a  and :wiggle: is ridiculous.....

I dont blame them - we british are like a pack of animals when we are out on holiday.

Others giving the rest of us a bad name - its their fault, not the dutch.

It's hillarious when you go over to Ibiza, you'll see the hopless cunts, all decked out in there Brunswick trainers, sun burned & all with either Hackett tops (numbers all in order, depending on size of group) or newcastle shirts, you'll have a bit crack with the 1 with the black eye & cut lip & ask him if there all having a good holiday, I almost gaurentee theyv'e never been out of the west end, never been to any of the decent clubs, spent a fortune on alco-pop's, had some mad fight with these southern lads & all went home with not a sniff of a wet dogs nose - IDIOTS.

I was out there for the first time last summer, and it was a sea of total clones looking like that.

.... who ever let the word out that 3/4 length tracksuit bottoms were trendy?!??!

What a prize plank. Nice to see we can rely on our dutch cousins

Plus does he really think that Amsterdam would be such a profitable city if it wasnt for all these Brits spending the wonga in that seedy city?

We often stand out like a sore thumb with out cool t-shirts and brand spanking new trainers, often with a mate feeling worse for wear after the fresh air has slapped him about, but been twice this year and the dutch are great if ur not a twat!
